The terms and conditions set out below are relevant for all pre-bookable Jelly Beans sessions. They do not apply to ‘drop in’ sessions.

Please sign and date where indicated on the last page to show you have read and agree with the Terms and Conditions set out below.

Please note a reference to ‘us/we/our’ in these terms and conditions refers to Jelly Beans Bristol Ltd.

Booking

Jelly Beans sessions run throughout the year in accordance with the terms dates which are sent to you on booking your place and are available on our website here

When signing up to Jelly Beans for the first time, details of the sessions you have booked will have been agreed with you in advance.

Jelly Beans will offer you, as an existing client, priority to rebook before we accept new bookings. A fortnight before the end of term, we will inform you that we are re-booking for the subsequent term and you will have approximately 14 days to either re-confirm and pay for your session or inform us that you no longer require your place.

You will receive email confirmation of your booking and joining instructions, once your place has been confirmed and payment has been received.

If you do not wish to be re-booked for the new term, please ensure you inform us within the 14 day period, so the place can be offered new clients.

Sessions

We aim to start our sessions promptly. We understand that life doesn’t always go to plan, but being punctual will help your child settle and avoid disrupting other children.

Children are not allowed on the equipment between sessions.

Please follow any safety guidelines communicated by members of staff or displayed in the hall. We accept no responsibility for accidents that occur if the guidelines have been ignored.

During the changeover of sessions, you are responsible for your child. Please be aware that the front door will be open. A member of staff will be at the front door and will do their utmost to ensure no child leaves without an adult. However we cannot guarantee this.

Clothing

Please ensure your child comes to sessions dressed appropriately. Ideal clothing is leggings, t- shirts, jogging bottoms, shorts. Please avoid your child wearing any dressing up clothes or skirts or dresses which may hinder their movement or catch on the equipment. Please ensure any long hair is tied back.

Children will do the session in bare feet.

As the attending adult, please remove shoes, any dangly jewellery and ensure long hair is tied back.

Siblings and other children.

The equipment is solely for the use of the children registered to that particular session.

Younger siblings and other younger children are allowed to attend the sessions with prior consent from Jelly Beans. The attending adult is responsible for all children they bring to the session.

We appreciate that older siblings and older children sometimes have to attend sessions. Please make older children aware that they are not allowed on the equipment. They are welcome to sit at the side of the hall. Please bring an appropriate activity for them.

Please ensure that any other children attending the sessions do not obstruct/ distract the children registered for that session.

Food and Drink

To enable us to keep the hall and the equipment clean, please do not give your child any snacks until they are outside the premises.

Children are allowed water in the hall, but please ensure they drink it at the side of the hall and not on the matting or equipment. Please avoid any juices/ squash that can be sticky and difficult to clean.

Please inform a member of staff of any spillages.

Jelly Tots

Jelly Tots sessions are planned for your child and their attending adult. In order for your child to maximise their enjoyment, the participation of the attending adult is vital. Please ensure mobile phones are switched off and you remain with your child at all times.

Jumping Beans

Jumping Beans sessions are planned for your child to participate independently. You are welcome to either sit on the side or sit next door in the coffee bar whilst the session is in progress.

If you are sitting at the side of the hall, please ensure your mobile phone is on silent and any phone calls are taken outside of the hall, so as to not distract your child.

Please also refrain from talking loudly in the hall. If you wish to chat, please move into the coffee bar.

It is imperative that the attending adult stays on the premises during the sessions. If your child needs the toilet/ a nappy change, you will be responsible for this.

We will provide tea and coffee during these sessions at a cost of £1 per drink. Please refrain from bringing drinks in from outside the premises.

Toilets and Nappies

There is a disabled toilet at the side of the hall which you are welcome to use during sessions. Outside of sessions, please use the toilets in the foyer. The disabled toilet has a nappy bin and nappy changing table.

Please dispose of all nappies in the Jelly Beans designated nappy bins and not the church hall bins.

Changing Sessions

Once your child turns 2, 2 ½ or 3 years of age, they will be able to move into the next Jelly Beans session and your session times will change. If your child reaches these age parameters during the term, we will speak to you during the 14 day re-booking period to discuss moving your child onto the next session for the subsequent terms.

If your child is particularly able, there is a possibility that they could move into the next session before they reach the appropriate age parameter.

If we both consider that your child is not quite ready to move up, there is a possibility that they can remain in their existing session after they have reached the appropriate age parameter.

If you come along to Jelly Beans with a friend or a group of friends and wish to stay together in a particular session, we will do our utmost to accommodate your request, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee it.

Baby Beans

Baby Massage

Parents work with their own baby.

We aim to start our sessions promptly. We understand that life doesn’t always go to plan, but being punctual will help your baby settle and avoid disrupting other babies.

Other children and siblings are NOT allowed to attend the baby massage sessions.

To enable us to keep the hall and the equipment clean, please do not give your child any snacks until they are outside the premises.

When practising with your baby, never rush or force anything. If you feel stressed or tense, just take a break and come back to the practice later. Always ensure that you feel safe, secure and confident with the way you are holding or working with your baby. Never do anything that you feel uncomfortable with.

If your baby is unwell, it is best not to attend the massage session. If your baby is crying excessively and cannot be comforted, he/ she may be ill. Never practice on a distressed baby, or if your baby is limp, pale has a temperature, or any difficulties breathing. Please seek medical attention.

Do not bring your baby to the sessions if it is within 24 hours of their immunisations.

It is advisable not to feed your baby approximately 20 minutes before the session.

You take full responsibility for yourself and your baby and for everything that happens to you and your baby in relation to the Baby Massage session.

You will keep the Baby Massage Instructor informed of any health issues that arise over the course both for you and your baby.

Payment and Cancellation

Payment for sessions can be made in the following ways:

  • Online banking
  • Cash
  • By card during your session

Cheque payments may be accepted but this is not our preferred method of payment.

Sessions must be paid in advance and for the full term. We cannot offer part-payments if you have planned holidays.

If you know you are going to be away in advance and will miss several sessions, you are welcome to pay our drop-in price and come along instead as and when you are available. This will be subject to availability of places and unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your child a place each week.

If you miss 3 sessions in a row due to illness, you are welcome to make up the sessions on another day/ time, subject to availability of places.

We cannot offer refunds for sessions missed due to holidays or sickness.

Once the term has started we are under no obligation to provide a refund if you wish to cancel following the commencement of your first session.

Adverse Weather

We are under no obligation to refund sessions that may be missed due to local adverse weather when the venue and environs are safe and accessible and sessions are held. We regret we are unable to offer refunds or re-scheduling of sessions in the event of adverse conditions local to you which prevent you from attending a scheduled session.

Photography and Filming

In line with our Safeguarding policy we do not allow photography or filming during the sessions.

If you would like to photograph/ film your child on a particular piece of equipment, please speak to a member of staff and we will attempt to arrange this at the end of the session. We will do our utmost to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee it.

On occasion we may wish to photograph or film sessions for publicity or staff training. We will not film your child, unless we have written consent from you/ your attending adult prior to the filming.

Valuables

All property left in the hall is at your own risk. We cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal possessions.

Medical Conditions

You have been asked for any existing medical conditions for either your child or the attending adult when you completed our booking form. You agree to inform us of any changes as soon as you are aware of them. All information will be kept strictly confidential.

Illness

Please do not bring your child to their session if they have any illness such as ear infection, diarrhoea, vomiting, chicken pox, impetigo, conjunctivitis etc…

If your child has been ill with diarrhoea/ vomiting, please do not bring them to their session until they have been clear of symptoms for at least 48 hours.

We have the right to refuse entry to our sessions if we reasonably believe your child or the attending adult is not well enough to participate.

Withdrawal of Service

If the attending adult’s behaviour or the behaviour of those associated with the attending adult is unreasonable, we have the right to refuse entry.

Exclusion of Liability

In the absence of any proven negligence, lack of due diligence, or breach of duty by our staff, the participation of your child and the attending adult during our sessions is done so entirely at your own risk.

Safeguarding

We are committed to providing good child safeguarding practice for all our clients. The details of which are set out in our Safeguarding policy. Please ask a member of staff if you wish to view the policy.

Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect from you lawfully in accordance with GDPR and in accordance with our privacy policy

Suggestions

We take pride in our high standards, but we will always welcome any suggestions or discuss any issues. Please speak to a member of staff at the end of a session or email us with your concerns/ suggestions

Changes to Terms and Conditions

From time to time we may update our terms and conditions you will be informed of any updates. You are free to not accept these changes, but please notify us in writing of your non-acceptance within 14 days of your receipt, otherwise we will treat our agreement with you as being subject to the updated version.
